You Need A Fresh Start

Life may not have come with a reset button, but you can give life (your personal life & everything that makes you live) a fresh start anytime you choose.
Permit me to emphasize it for you that, Life is 5% what happens to you and 95% what you do with that.
“start afresh/anew” — to stop doing what you are doing and begin doing it again in a better or different way.
“Reboot” is a very familiar term we use daily, when it comes to computers. It is a form of troubleshooting method, when your computer is giving you trouble, a program locks up or is simply not responding & acting up.
Then you shut it down and restart it. Sometimes, you restart with the combination of some keys, pressing ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ keys simultaneously.
Sometimes in the real sense of life, an area of your life, or for many, more than one has gone completely off track and these make you feel bogged down and moving forward becomes so difficult.
In this case, making some small changes here and there may not work out, but you may want to wipe the slate clean and simply restart in those area of your life.
You may have made a lot of restitution in the new year 2020, so far how far?
I believe in the power of declaration and confession; you may want to declare it too: “This year is going to be a fresh start for me.”
Now beyond that, I believe that what we do every day is important because we are exchanging a day of our life for it. If you aren’t happy with the life you are living, then make an intentional commitment today to get on track to a joyful, productive life.
When you assess your current reality, how satisfied are you with your progress in key areas of your personal life?
Your health, relationships, spirituality, personal development, living conditions etc.
Can you clap for yourself in some areas you are doing well, Bravo! Likewise, you must have identified 2 to 3 areas where you would like to focus on this year for a fresh start or reboot.
Let’s consider these few ways to possibly reboot your life and get a fresh start:
1. Your Diet
If you’ve been eating unhealthy foods for a long period of time, you probably need to reboot your diet. A detox plan could work perfectly for you.
“Detox” is short for detoxification. It consists of a focused, short term diet that will allow your body to eliminate toxins or help you to completely alter your eating habits. One of the main goals of a detox diet is to eliminate toxins from your body, which is why it’s also called a cleanse.
Most detox diets encourage you to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, sometimes as smoothies and shakes. Going on a detox diet can help you to reboot your diet and set the stage for improving your eating habits and your health.
2. Your Calendar
Is your calendar and daily schedule always jam-packed with activities and commitments, and most unmet targets, missed appointments & deadline? It’s time to reboot your calendar.
Sit down with a blank sheet of paper and start re-creating your calendar from scratch, and before you add anything back on your schedule, take the time to reexamine whether that task or activity really needs to be there.
Question everything:
– Your commitments;
– Your commute;
– The regular tasks you do: should they be done;
– The amount of time that you spend on each task;
– How frequent are the tasks done? Etc
Then, re-evaluate to put back into your schedule ONLY the things that you absolutely need to do, and the things that you love to do.
3. Your Finances
You will need to consider doing the following if you are under the weight of financial stress, financial reboot is inevitable..
– Write down the absolute essentials that you have to spend money on throughout the month, such as bus fare and the cost of utilities.
– Spend absolutely no money except for the things on your “absolute essentials” list for 30 days.
– Use the 30 days to Reevaluate your current spending in the 30 days.
– Create a budget, and create a plan on how to better deal with your finances.
– Get all of the food that you’re going to need for the month.
– Get necessities such as toothpaste and toilet paper.
4. Your Goals
So far, how are you doing on the resolutions that you set at the start of the year? Be sincere, if the answer is “not well”, consider a reboot for your goals.
– Take a look at the goals that you set at the beginning of the year.
– Choose just one and discard the rest for now.
– Start fresh on that goal, as if it were January 1st.
– Ask yourself why you failed to follow through on your goal.
– make the necessary adjustments to your plan for achieving your goal, and ensure you get to it.
5. A Retreat
Chronic stress can make you feel exhausted: physically, mentally and emotionally. It is deflating and highly demotivating, and it triggers loss of concentration. If you do not device how to get away from it time to time, especially when burn out sets in, it causes health problems.
Reconnect with yourself and most importantly to what really matters to you. Going on a retreat (or vacation) can really help you to leave the troubles of the exhausting days behind and gain new perspective to see new light.
You can specifically go for retreats in any of these areas:
– Marriage retreat
– Career retreat
– Spiritual retreat
– A life re-assessment retreat
Other important areas you can consider to reboot could be your wardrobe, room and probably your sleep cycle.
It does not matter how fast you are moving in a wrong direction, it leads to a wrong destination. Break every wrong pattern and don’t get stuck on the wrong path.
Get a good strategy to live your best life by rebooting any area of your life in which you need a fresh start, it is magical and you will see a wholly turn around.
